  • Just kidding

We are all born free, creative and happy. Then why do we let these be taken from us – the freedom to dream, the creativity to discover things on our own and the happiness that lights up our eyes.

    Fact or fiction?

Stay a child at heart and there would be less sorrows, less heartbreaks and less stress. Sprinkle some humour, add some forgiveness and stir in tons of kindness. There I just spilled the beans on bringing back the joys of childhood into our uber rushed lives!

  • The race

Busy? Stressed? Too tired but pushing?

Ever stopped and wondered what keeps you busy and not excited? What gives rise to that stress and not joy? What makes you tired rather than giving you zeal to do more & be more?

Because that could be ‘your race’, the one which you would always win, always excel at and shall bring a smile to your face no matter how tough the going gets.

    Light your own path

So pause, reflect and carve your race, your path. Since you too maybe running a race with no reason; a race which is not yours!

  • Validation

Should we seek it or find it within? I say neither, learn to live with your inner voice. It’s true, intuitive and just.

    Reflections are us

Of course, most people tend to overthink and the analysis could be harsher than reality. So practise the art of tuning out the noise and picking just the voice which resonates minus any judgments and criticality.

  • Avoid or Embrace

Obviously avoidance strategy works best. Whether it’s a pesky person, sticky situation or unpleasant memories, it’s easier to avoid that path and gradually push them out of your memory and lives.

    Look for the silver linings

The harder path is to embrace, internalize and register the goodness. This makes the recall pleasant as you can train your mind to keep the memorable details and skip the rest. Easier said than done, try journaling the two side by side and you’ll be surprised by your resilience and strength.

  • Baby calm down ❤️

Feeling jaded with how the day has started? Or struggling to fall asleep as you had a rough day? Don’t end or start your day on a sour note, try some of these hacks to clear your mind while shifting your mood.

Acknowledge what you feel, this allows you to be in control to reduce the intensity. Let these thoughts come and go – kinda meditative state. Start visualizing positive images to refocus your attention. Journaling and meaningful conversations are always a go to if you can make room for it.

Zen is a state of being

Use tricks like deep breathing and relaxing stretching poses to loosen the right muscles and reduce tension from your body.

Move out and work from a different setup.  Take a walk amidst nature or listen to music. Changing the external environment helps eliminate the clutter and shift perspective.

  • The war never ends

It’s a part of life, a part of all our transcendental journeys on earth. Sometimes it’s countries waging wars, sometimes it’s our loved ones we are at loggerheads with and more often than not it’s within us. Look back at your life and you would find that mostly it’s been your inner peace which has been missing. Something we guarded and cherished as kids but have forgotten to prioritise while adulting. Like a kid always defends her choices and does what her heart tells her to do, if we start listening to our inner voice, we would be far less disappointed in ourselves. And once you have poured enough into your own cup, pouring into others becomes a way of life.

  • Is everything gold?

Do you think you are or should be perfect?  Personally or professionally you have got it all sorted? Really?

    Embrace the change

Firstly do you have to? Nay, we don’t need to be picture perfect, after all we are humans and to err is human. So give yourself some breather to err and lower those cortisol levels!

Secondly if you whine that things around you are changing fast and that bothers you, think about it again. Would life be exciting if there were no change, no day or night, no seasons and no weekends? Nay, the moment you feel you got it all sorted, the equations mutate and thus you are entering the next round of the game of life! And trust me everything cannot be gold; if it seems then it’s an illusion my friend 😊

  • Power of Visualization

Ever tried visualizing yourself in the future? How would you look, feel and what would you do x years down the line? What would you be chasing then and what your family members would be doing?

    Stepping into one’s own shoes

I started thinking about how it would be the next 2-3 years, seemed too close to execution – the feeling where you start feeling underprepared for an upcoming examination. So I thought how 5 years from now would look and still got lost in the details. The goldilocks number for me was 10. A decade was perfectly ‘far yet imaginable’ for me.

Manifestation is a powerful tool. We can get thrilled thinking of what the future holds and we may get sad knowing what we may lose in the way. Either ways, try it and I bet you won’t see your present self the same way again.

  • To ‘younger’ me

A decade wiser, older, more experienced and all of that. Yet there isn’t much that I can pass onto you in the matters of love and life.

All I can say is that you can learn from my experiences, my mistakes. My lessons learned could be your guardrails when in doubt. Not that I have a handbook but after all ‘what not to do’ is better than being in the dark and hurting in the toe.

Do listen to your gut feeling. Do weigh in your happiness but without burning bridges. Do let love score higher than ego. Do give second chances. Do stay kind, especially to yourself.

Do not try to keep everyone happy. Do not fall into the trap of societal clocks. Do not blindly go by the orthodox barometer of success. Do not be outrageous but keep courage in your heart and logic in your mind.

May you laugh, love, live and light up the lives of all those you touch upon. Amen 🙏

  • Legacy of strength

Strength to stay true to your words.

Strength to stick around your main characters.

Strength to stand by, through thick and thin.

Strength to get up from a fall.

Strength to abide by your decisions.

Strength to keep the vows you took, silently.

Strength to love without attachment and give without expectations.

Strength to face the past, dream the future and live the present.

May the strength be with you 🖖
